Our Story
Hi, my name's Damian and I’m the Founder of Atoms to Astronauts
As a science teacher, I always enjoyed buying myself and giving science & maths gifts to friends, family, and colleagues - Periodic Table mug, science doodle notebook, and more. But there was never anything of truly exceptional quality that was also completely scientifically accurate.
So I set about designing some myself with three essential criteria:
(1) Be of the highest quality
(2) Made with sustainable practices and materials
(3) Made in the UK.
After a lot of hard work and late nights, Atoms to Astronauts opened in May 2021 with one goal: provide you with a gift you are proud to own or give to someone special in your life.
And our name? Because that’s how far we’ve all come: from Atoms to Astronauts.

Our carefully picked UK manufacturers are leaders in their fields and supply prestigious organisations such as Harrods and Westminster Abbey, amongst others.
Our design process begins with sourcing images and text from seminal papers (e.g. Newton’s Principia) or landmark textbooks and editing and assembling them into the designs you see.
ECO-CONSCIOUS
All our gifts are entirely made in the UK. This means our carbon footprint is significantly lower than should we have chosen international suppliers. All our packaging and paper-based goods are fully recyclable and sourced from sustainably managed forests. Even our packing peanuts are compostable.
SUPPORT SMALL BUSINESSES
We're a small business, and we only work with similarly small, UK based, independent businesses. In other words, when you make a purchase from us you're also supporting the employees and families of our suppliers.
